Philip Dawson Jr is the new Director of Instruction at Colonial Country Club. Philip has been teaching for 15 years since 2009 after playing professionally for 7 seasons. He has over 20 professional wins to his credit and was recently named 2023 Northern California PGA Teacher of the Year and has been Top 25 FCG Elite Player Coach in USA since 2015.
His passion is for coaching all levels of players with his holistic approach to maximizing a students potential through technique, fitness, nutrition, properly fit equipment, mental performance and data driven course strategy. Philip teaches with video and Trackman 4 to maximize his students learning environment and understanding of their holistic improvement plan.
